Bachelorette Party Games for a Muskoka Cottage Weekend

Skip the last-minute Amazon order. Here's what actually works when the group finally gets to the dock.

Bachelorette · 6 min read

You've booked the cottage, everyone's confirmed, and now the group chat is asking what you're actually going to do all weekend. Cottage bachelorettes live and die by the in-between hours — the stretch between the beach and dinner, or the wind-down after the boat cruise. That's where the games earn their keep.

Below are the games we deliver most often for bachelorette weekends across Muskoka — Huntsville, Lake of Bays, Port Carling, Bala and everywhere in between. Every one is group-friendly, doesn't need a rulebook, and works after a couple of Aperol spritzes.

1. Giant Jenga (the icebreaker)

Nothing lowers the room temperature faster than 54 wooden blocks stacked to knee height. Great for groups where not everyone knows each other yet — you can drift in and out between rounds without missing anything. Bonus points if you write dares or truth-or-drink prompts on the blocks with a Sharpie.

2. Cornhole (the anchor game)

Every good cottage weekend needs one lawn game running quietly on the side for hours. Cornhole is that game. Set it up between the deck and the firepit, rotate teams every round, and it just… keeps going. Our premium wood sets look like they belong on the property, not like Party City rentals.

3. Spikeball (for the sporty group)

If your group has anyone who was in intramurals, they will find the Spikeball net within ten minutes of arrival. Best on grass or the beach, four players at a time, ridiculously fun to watch from the dock with a drink.

4. Bocce (for the golden-hour crowd)

The vibe game. Bocce is what happens between 6pm and dinner when everyone's showered and slightly buzzed. Low effort, everyone can play, works on any patchy lawn.

What to actually rent

For a typical 8–12 person bachelorette, our Premium Cottage Fun Bundle covers everything above plus a couple of extras (ladder toss, KanJam) — delivered to your cottage before the group arrives, set up on the lawn, and picked up after checkout. You never touch a shopping cart or a car trunk full of oversized boxes.

Tips from delivering a lot of these

  • Book early for July long weekend, Civic Monday and Labour Day — Muskoka fills up.
  • Send us the Airbnb / cottage rental address and any lockbox or gate code so we can drop off before your group arrives.
  • Tell us if you want us to preset a cornhole court or leave games leaned against the deck.
  • Ask about our water trampoline if the cottage has a swim area — it is the single biggest 'wait, this weekend is amazing' moment.
